Childhood memories.

This is my grandmother's kitchen. When I was young we would frequently have a kenduri (gathering) amongst the villagers in Beaufort (Kampung Klias Baru) either for a certain Islamic celebration (like Eid) or for the passing of a fellow villager or just to have a gathering for the sake of sillatulrahim . everyone in the family would gather at grandma's...the aunts and moms will prepare the food...the men and boys will be at the front...the kids will either be helping out in the kitchen , at the front playing before the feast is laid out to the guests and family, or at the front porch playing with each other...or all of the above in a non-sequential arrangement lol. I loved the atmosphere...everybody talking to each other, telling jokes and stories, keeping updates with everyone's lives...the lively scene and yet in such a simple, humble and traditional manner...enjoying the scent of the food cooking and cooking it together...and then at last silently listening to prayers and Quran recitals by the Imam invited along with the lovely Zikir everyone will chant along to :) It brings such sweet nostalgic and longing feeling...how we will all gather together for our faith, our God and our ummah....but things have changed...time changes everything...lets just say I don't want to bring up what we're all going through now...we all still see each other but the bond we have now is not as strong as we had before.

I would give anything to turn back time.

Where Your Heart Is.

Farah's heart bracelet she bought at Cotton On for charity if I'm not mistaken. Fortunately she and I had a enough time to get together because she was about to leave for KL in a few hours. Miss her a lot :)

I Was Always There.

This was taken in my aunt's garden at her home in Kirkland, Washington, U.S.A. It rained before and I was bored :p

Menanti Kepulanganmu...

'Menanti Kepulanganmu' means 'Waiting For Your Return' in Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language), I was trying to portray a traditional Malay wife wearing a veil or as they say in Malay, a 'Tudung' while looking outside waiting for her husband to come back from the sea. (obviously, fishermen :D ) This picture was taken in Sabah Museum in Kota Kinabalu, my friend as my model and veil belongs to me :) Sepia Tone baby, sepia tone. ;)

All Eyes On Me.

This was during our holidays in the United States. That is my nephew. The one carrying him is my aunt, which is his nana. We were all talking to each other on the way to dinner, when he starts laughing and everyone got caught up with this little sunshine :) the one holding the camera is my other aunt and beside her (the head) is my cousin (her son). I was obviously the one taking this special moment and I'm happy how it turned out. Dinner went great, if you're wondering. ;)

Floral Love.

Taken during my private photoshoot in my bedroom. Model is Nadine.

About Last Night.

This is during our (Nadine & I) private photoshoot in The Sabah Museum. Unfortunately they didn't allow me to take pictures in the museum itself, but fortunately for us we were able to do so in the Museum Toilet! lol So yeah, this was shot in the toilet, the lighting itself is very good and all clothes & Jewelry belongs to Nadine & I. Don't worry, the cigarette is a mere prop :)

Let It Shine.

This was also taken during our club outing to The Graffiti Ruins in Kota Kinabalu. The day was hot and it gets hotter when I had to lay on the cement to get this shot. All the struggle is worth it obviously :D

Here For You.

This is also taken during our club outing to Turtle Bay. (Kuala Penyu). The lighting is all natural :)

Primary School Sweethearts.

As what the title says, they've been together since Primary school (12 years old) until now (19 years old). Even though they studied in different schools for the past 5 years they still maintain their love for each other :) Long distance relationship CAN work if you have the heart to keep it. We were having our BBQ at Tanjung Aru Beach the evening when it rained lightly. of course I couldn't pass the chance to capture the romantic moment this lovebirds share. ;)

Circle of Friends.

We took this in Kota Kinabalu International Airport right before we bid Filzah (green shirt) goodbye for Canada to further her degree in Toronto (She's an aspiring Archaeologist )  Edited with CS3 of course.
